The Story
For patients relying on alternative medicine, staying informed about the most cost-effective options can be a full-time job. URB recognized that while dispensaries frequently run exclusive promotions, there was no centralized, real-time ‘live feed’ to connect these savings with the people who need them most.
Clavis Tech partnered with URB to build a dual-sided marketplace app that makes local medicinal shopping seamless and mobile-first. By digitizing the ‘daily deal’ and bringing it directly to the user’s pocket, we’ve helped URB revolutionize how patients access their daily medicinal needs.
The Challenge
The primary obstacle for both patients and providers was ‘Information Asymmetry.’ Promotions for alternative medicine are rarely common knowledge and are often subject to strict advertising regulations, making them difficult to find on traditional platforms.
Patients were forced to manually check store websites or visit dispensaries in person just to discover current pricing. The Solution
Clavis Tech engineered the URB Mobile App on both iOS and Android with a focus on ‘Immediacy and Ease.’ Our roadmap prioritized a low-latency live feed that allows users to discover, activate, and redeem offers before they expire.
We implemented a Dynamic Coupon Engine where each deal is tied to a unique code. The user journey was optimized for the high-pressure retail environment: clicking ‘USE IT NOW’ instantly activates a visual coupon that a cashier can scan or verify on the spot.
