Mediaferry was developed to bridge the gap between complex creative briefs and seamless content delivery for a global leader in creative production and media services. Serving media giants to streamline high-precision operations, the platform was born out of a critical mission: to help traditional media houses survive an unprecedented margin squeeze. However, as global ad revenues face unprecedented pressure, traditional media houses and agencies are increasingly trapped in a “margin squeeze”—forced to produce more content across more channels with fewer resources.
Recognizing that manual workflows were no longer sustainable, the client partnered with Clavis Tech for a 15-year strategic evolution to engineer Mediaferry from the ground up as a proprietary ad production ecosystem. Today, this AI-powered digital powerhouse supports 100+ designers and 1000s of concurrent campaigns, providing clear customer ROI through high-margin, seamless omnichannel delivery.
The Challenge
The modern advertising landscape has created a “margin squeeze”. Traditional manual workflows can no longer keep pace with thousands of concurrent campaigns without incurring massive overhead costs. Fragmented tools across print, digital, and video led to inefficiencies, creative inconsistencies, and slow approval cycles—while advertisers increasingly expected faster turnaround and real-time visibility. The core challenge was no longer just about design; it was about scaling creative production without proportionally increasing headcount.
To maintain their market-leading position, Mediaferry by EKCS needed a solution that could handle multiple editions and recurring deadlines with absolute precision. Failing to resolve this friction implied more than just slow delivery; it meant a potential loss of market share in an increasingly competitive, digital-first economy.
The Solution
Clavis Tech addressed the key problem by moving beyond traditional software development to engineer the Mediaferry ecosystem. Serving as the architectural backbone for over 15 years, we conducted an end-to-end audit of the production cycle to design a ground-up, zero-friction architecture. We owned every technical milestone—from the scalable core and UI/UX to the complex 3rd-party integrations with productions tools like Enfocus PitStop, Google Ad Publisher, etc. —transforming Mediaferry into a high-margin, SaaS-driven powerhouse.
Solution delivered:
Brief building feature: The solution has AI-assisted tools that allow users to generate comprehensive campaign briefs from scratch in seconds. This module incorporates brand capture and campaign creation with built-in compliance and custom corporate styles features, ensuring every brief is strategically aligned from the outset.
Design feature: Built a simplified interface with a shallow learning curve, allowing users to create rich media ads instantly. It supports multi-size ad generation from a single design, on-the-fly animations, and CTA creation—all within a unified environment.
AI enhanced create feature: To further enhance the platform, we integrated ad creation platform, enabling users to generate entire campaigns from simple prompts. This AI-led automation helps improve margins and production speed.
Review and approvals features: We engineered a real-time preview and collaboration hub to eliminate email-heavy feedback loops. By providing sub-second precision previews and instant collaboration tools, we accelerated the client sign-off process, ensuring campaigns launch faster and revenues flow sooner.
Seamless workflows: To ensure the platform wasn’t a silo, we built an open, scalable architecture that enables Seamless Workflows. This allows for deep integration with digital advertising platforms, work management systems, billing/CRMs, time tracking and Scalable DAM systems, making the ad software the central nervous system of the creative process.
